Digital Identity Friday Five: April 11, 2025
Covering the most interesting news for the week of April 5 to April 11
Today is Friday, April 11. Here are five things in #digitalidentity that I found interesting this week
But first, did you attend the PEAK IDV "Is DocV Dead?" #livestream in February?
Then you won’t want to miss the "Deepfakes & Synthetic Identity Three Beam Stream" I’m producing for The Prism Project on May 6!
It features C. Maxine Most (host & moderator) and
Parya Lotfi (DuckDuckGoose AI)
Blair Cohen (AuthenticID)
And Tobin Broadfoot (Keyless)

Now, the #fridayfive updates!
1/ Yoti Launches Yoti Keys
Yoti Keys let people verify their age once and gain continued access to an ecosystem of websites without having to prove their age again
A Yoti Key uses #passkey technology and doesn’t store any personal information
Congrats, Robin Tombs and team!
2/ Secure Identity Alliance (SIA) and ADI Association Partner
"By joining forces, ADIA and SIA are strengthening their contribution to paving the way for a global identity infrastructure that can only be built via strong partnerships," said Ramesh Kesanupalli
Ramesh is founder of the FIDO Alliance and co-founder of the Accountable Digital Identity Association

3/ SentiLink Releases New Fraud Trends Report
This week, SentiLink released its first SentiLink Fraud Report: Identity Fraud Rates & Trends, 2H 2024
The report reveals a sharp rise in identity theft attempts in the second half of 2024, including a nearly fourfold increase in fraud targeting deposit accounts— from 2% to almost 8%

4/ CBS: Social Security backtracks on in-person identification
"The Social Security Administration said it's backtracking from a requirement that would have forced some elderly and disabled people to visit agency offices in person to verify their identities rather than via the telephone, a move that was met with an outcry from seniors and their advocates" said the CBS report

5/ Trustd Becomes First Digital Identity Platform for Transport & Logistics Certified Under #UK Digital Identity Framework
Trustd is the pioneering platform that answers the question: "Who's carrying my freight?"
The UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework (#DIATF) framework is a set of rules and standards designed to establish trust in digital identity products in the UK
"With this certification from the DIATF, Trustd is now the platform to conduct both "right to work" checks and issue certified digital identities." said Founder & CEO Lyall Cresswell
Congrats, Lyall!

Hello there,
Huge Respect for your work!
New here. No huge reader base Yet.
But the work has waited long to be spoken.
Its truths have roots older than this platform.
My Sub-stack Purpose
To seed, build, and nurture timeless, intangible human capitals — such as resilience, trust, truth, evolution, fulfilment, quality, peace, patience, discipline, relationships and conviction — in order to elevate human judgment, deepen relationships, and restore sacred trusteeship and stewardship of long-term firm value across generations.
A refreshing take on our business world and capitalism.
A reflection on why today’s capital architectures—PE, VC, Hedge funds, SPAC, Alt funds, Rollups—mostly fail to build and nuture what time can trust.
“Built to Be Left.”
A quiet anatomy of extraction, abandonment, and the collapse of stewardship.
"Principal-Agent Risk is not a flaw in the system.
It is the system’s operating principle”
Experience first. Return if it speaks to you.
