2022 was a rough year for digital identity.
Yet identity verification is more important than ever in today's digital age. With the rise of online transactions, the increasing threat of sophisticated fraud and new attacks from generative media, it's crucial that we find ways to work together and win the fight against forces with bad intentions. A person's identity is their most important asset.
If people cannot safely and securely assert their identity. They are unlikely to unlock the benefits of our modern society. Credit invisible and underbanked individuals are a growing segment of our population, and we as leaders have a duty to ensure they have equal opportunities and access to financial services, to education, to jobs. To healthcare, to trust and safety to overall improvements in the quality of life that technology affords us all. It all starts with identity.
In executive series, I dive into the latest developments in identity, including doc-centric, data-centric and device-centric identity verification techniques. But I'll also explore authentication, biometrics, decentralized identity, web3 and blockchain, privacy regulations, artificial intelligence including computer vision, as well as CIP, KYC, KYB, AML, and many more of your favorite three letter acronyms.
